Idaho drivers know that they need to be careful and they need to obey the laws when they are out on the roadways. However, they also need to make sure they are abiding by the rules and regulations when it comes to parking. Those who park in areas where they shouldn’t, such as designated no parking zones, will likely receive fines. In some cases, they may also have their vehicle towed and impounded. To avoid these issues, you need to know and understand the various laws throughout the state.
The “No Parking” zones
There are a number of laws when it comes to where you are able to park and where you are in danger of getting a fine. Many of these are common sense, but it pays to know the rules. You are not allowed to park on sidewalks or within intersections. You cannot double park either. This is when you park on the street side of a vehicle that is already parked. Doing so will take up space in the roadway, and it could become a hazard, not to mention an annoyance to other drivers who have to get down the road.
Drivers are not allowed to park on the highway, and they are not allowed to park within 20 feet of a fire station in Idaho. You need to make sure you pay attention to the colors of the curbs as well. If there is a red, yellow, or white curb, you are not allowed to park there. If there are signs in these areas, pay attention to what they say as well. For example, they may allow for limited parking during certain hours.
Cities and towns may have different requirements
