Q: High pitched whining noise on startup
high pitch whinning on start up which decreases and sounds as if engine has Idled down. Sound repeats if engine is in off position for several minutes. reaction time on exceleration is great. Could it be the secondary injection pump going bad? check engine light use to come on. Had vehicle checked told it was sensors. purchased sensors, mechanic said it's not the cause, says it's the secondary air pump. I don't know who to believe. HELP I WANT TO GET RID OF THIS NOISE.
